Job Summary

  • Perform routine inspections of plant equipment and chemical feed systems
  • Run, analyze, and document basic water quality tests
  • Answer customer service calls outside normal city business hours
  • Dispatch utility and public works crews outside normal business hours
  • Work 12 hour rotating shifts

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks at the same time
  • Skill in using a variety of hand, plumbing, and electrical tools
  • Ability to work basic math problems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to tactfully and politely handle customer phone

Necessary Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid Georgia Driver’s License
  • Must pass State of Georgia Certification as a Class III Water Plant Operator within 12 months.
